Main duties of the job

Brunel University London is seeking to recruit a Lecturer (Education) from NMC registered Nurses into the Division of Nursing. The primary purpose of this post is to support and enhance the apprentice and employer experience through practical coaching and tutoring. There will be opportunities to undertake lecturing, including teaching; within classroom, simulation and virtual learning settings. You will need to be able to work within a team and communicate effectively, with the ability to work flexibly and meet deadlines.

  • First degree or equivalent in relevant subject area
  • Registered with the nursing and Midwifery Council
  • Experience of carrying out administrative duties linked to teaching or workplace training
  • Professional approach to work
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Clearance

Desirable

  • Experience of a range of teaching methods or of providing a range of workplace training
  • Experience of supervising UG and PGT students in line with own discipline or equivalent experience of training at this level in the workplace

  • Experience of teaching in the subject area to UG and PG students or equivalent experience of training at this level in the workplace
  • Experience of carrying out administrative duties linked to teaching or workplace training

  • Knowledge of issues affecting HE sector
