Job summary

Recruiting HCPC registered Physiotherapists, with the ability to inspire, enthuse and connect with a range of stakeholders from a wide range of backgrounds. This is an excellent opportunity to further your career in a higher education setting and would be suitable for those wishing to move from a clinical setting into higher education. Whilst previous HE (Higher Education) teaching is not essential you must have experience of formal teaching, training and supervising students, and be able to contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate courses and apprenticeships.

Main duties of the job

You will be involved in the planning and delivery of the teaching on modules for students developing their skills and knowledge in research practice. You will also participate in some post graduate physiotherapy specific teaching. You must have well developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical, and theoretical issues relevant to contemporary physiotherapy. You will join the Department of Allied Health Professions and Life Sciences, one of the UK's leading centres of health education and one of the first UK Universities to offer Allied Health Professions Degree Apprenticeship courses. You will be involved in supporting the delivery across our interprofessional portfolio and in addition, there may be opportunities to contribute to the wider health portfolio as appropriate.

We are a team of 30 physiotherapists from diverse clinical backgrounds and specialities delivering education across the pre and post registration programme to over 800 students. As a team we are committed to high quality teaching and learning for all of our students using specialist teaching rooms, technology and simulation. We work creatively and flexibly to meet the needs of service and are grounded in the professions that we educate with a visionary eye on the future. Our education portfolio includes undergraduate BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy and BSc Physiotherapy Degree Apprenticeship. At postgraduate level we offer Pre-reg MSc Physiotherapy, MSc Specialist Page 2 of 7 Physiotherapy Practice and MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Musculoskeletal. In addition, the team contributes to cross Department and cross College teaching including the interprofessional education provision. Equips students with the skills, knowledge and attributes required by employers through delivery of the curriculum.   • 1st Class), or equivalent professional qualification
  • or experience in a relevant discipline.
  • MSc in a relevant discipline (or equivalent
