We are seeking 2 enthusiastic and experienced HCPC-registered Diagnostic Radiographers to join our growing academic team in the School of Health & Wellbeing at the University of Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to join the radiography team and contribute to the development of our BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography programme as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer.
We are looking for a forward-thinking individual who is passionate about Diagnostic Radiography education. You will have a strong understanding of the current healthcare landscape, including the integration of technologies such as artificial intelligence, and be committed to preparing students for modern clinical practice.
Main duties of the job
Depending on skills and experience, the successful candidate will be appointed as either aLecturer (Teaching)or aSenior Lecturer (Teaching).Key responsibilities:
- Design and deliver innovative teaching and learning materials, including blended learning approaches.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and contribute to assessment processes.
- Act as Personal Academic Tutor and support student development.
- Engage with recruitment and selection activities.
- Undertake academic administrative responsibilities and contribute to School and University committees.
- Participate in scholarly activity, CPD, and professional development.
- Promote inter-professional learning and collaboration across the School.
- Ensure inclusive, sustainable, and safe teaching practices.

1. To contribute to academic and clinical skills teaching at under-graduate level to maximise the integration of theory to clinical practice within the Diagnostic Radiography course.
2. To design and develop innovative and inspiring learning materials and assessments, including e-learning, to fully integrate a blended learning approach.
3. To take an active role in cross-School activities, including teaching, contributing to the inter- professional philosophy of the School.
4. To advise and contribute to development of academic content of modules and the Diagnostic Radiography course.
5. To carry out academic administrative work and participate in relevant committees within the School, College and University.
6. To develop and deliver high quality learning and teaching for diagnostic radiographers and other allied health students at Masters and Bachelors level, including face to face, online and practical teaching and assessment as required.
7. To contribute to the effective and appropriate assessment processes for students including the setting, marking and moderation of student work (theoretical and practical), individually or collectively as part of a module team in accordance with quality assurance procedures.
8. To carry out innovative and inspiring learning modules including, enhanced online learning approaches.
9. To support and contribute to practice education as requested by the Practice Education Lead / Team and / or nominee.
10. To engage in research and scholarly activity that underpins practice, and which contributes to the University and School objectives ensuring up-to-date, leading-edge teaching.
11. To support diagnostic radiography students academic progression as a Personal Academic Tutor, module leader including maintaining records, for a group and/or individual students as required in order to support students.
12. To participate in recruitment and selection activities.
13. To undertake any other reasonable duties requested by the Head of Department or nominee.
14. Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job; participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
