A to E Training and
Solutions is the largest provider of resuscitation training in the UK,
delivering services to NHS Trusts, Independent / Private Healthcare Providers,
Prison Services, and Higher Education Institutions.
We are looking to
recruit a Senior Resuscitation Officer to lead the provision of resuscitation
training and services in the West Midlands. Based in our training centre
in Dudley, you will lead our regional team and work as part of a network of
Senior Resuscitation Officers ensuring the delivery of high-quality training
and clinical services to our client base.
You will oversee and
monitor all activities occurring within the region, liaising with key
stakeholders and taking accountability for a range of key performance
indicators.
The successful
candidate will require demonstrable experience as a resuscitation officer with
an appropriate, acute clinical background. You may be a Registered Nurse, ODP,
or Paramedic and will be an advanced life support instructor in one specialty (ALS, EPALS, APLS, NLS, GIC).
In order to
successfully lead the team, dedicated admin/management time is built into the
role. Regional travel is also a key component, although we attempt to maintain
a good balance across the team and flexibility is encouraged both from the
business and staff.
Given the requirement
for regular travel, a current driving licence is pre-requisite.
Main duties of the job
To design and deliver
training programmes in resuscitation practice and clinical care.
Act as the main client
contact for AtoEs contracts within the designated geographical region.
Manage a team of resuscitation
officers and associates.
Where appropriate and
agreed, act as a clinical member of the resuscitation team at contracted sites,
providing expertise to the team and leading the team to facilitate evidenced
based care and outcomes.
Provide professional
expert advice on resuscitation attempts, policy development, training, clinical
governance issues, resuscitation techniques, and equipment relating to
resuscitation.
To develop and
maintain strong clinical networks, both locally and nationally links that
develop company profile and enhancement of resuscitation care.

Act as the main client contact for AtoE's contracts within the designated geographical region.
Provide professional expert advice on resuscitation attempts, policy development, training, clinical governance issues, resuscitation techniques and equipment relating to resuscitation.
Design and deliver training programmes in critical care, resuscitation practice and first aid.
Where appropriate and agreed, act as a clinical member of the resuscitation team at contracted sites, providing expertise and clinical leadership to facilitate evidenced based care and outcomes.
To maintain and develop links, both locally and nationally, that develop the company's profile and promote the delivery of resuscitation care and training.
Undertake and support A to E's programme of in-situ simulations across various client sites.
To lead, manage, and develop a team of resuscitation officers and associates.
Lead on projects and/or research activities undertaken by the company.
Undertake resuscitation officer and lead roles for client sites.
To provide clients with the highest possible level of specific training and education in resuscitation, as per national recommendations and company standards.
Escalate and raise the profile of resuscitation issues regionally and amongst clients, both within and outside the allocated region
Lead the delivery of governance support to client sites, incl. resuscitation governance, Policy/SoP development and implementation, risk assessment, and expert advice.
Lead and manage specific projects in relation to resuscitation practice, course development or company result areas
To support business growth and development activities i.e., increasing market share and penetration within a specific region
To lead on one national course for the company, including ensuring that all relevant admin functions and processes are documented and implemented, that relevant equipment list are current and that all supporting information is current and available when required.
To ensure that financial and operational KPIs within remit are met and that equipment is used correctly with a view to minimising damage and down time
