Main duties of the job
Some of the key duties include:
- Support the collection, scoring and analysis of outcome measures (e.g. using Microsoft Forms), including pupil, parent and staff feedback.
- Collate and analyse service data to support quality improvement and evaluation.
- Assist with audits, service development projects and outcome monitoring under supervision
- Carry out observations of pupils across structured and unstructured settings to support psychological understanding and formulation.
- Administer and score standardised psychological assessments (e.g. cognitive, emotional and behavioural measures), adapting sensitively to student needs.
- Co-facilitate therapeutic or skills based group interventions in collaboration with education staff.
- Support the delivery of training to schools staff on topics such as autism, anxiety, emotional regulation or trauma informed approaches.

We would like to appoint a candidate to be a key member of the clinical team in delivering and evaluating psychological support to our young people. Liaison with other professionals in the school will be a key part of the role, including teaching staff. - Previous experience as an assistant psychologist and working with children, ideally in a special educational needs/mental health setting
- You will be confident working with children directly, as well as with professionals and families
- You will have a good understanding of ethical practice and the psychological principles which underpin our interventions e.g. attachment and learning theories
