London South Bank University are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated UK HCPC-registered Radiographer to join the progressive Diagnostic Radiography course as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, in the Institute of Health and Social Care, School of Allied and Community Health.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Diagnostic Radiographer, committed to providing a high-quality experience for students on a contemporary suite of programmes. Teaching experience is not essential as there will be the opportunity to undertake further training. A passion for education and supporting students is, however, an essential ingredient for this post. This post is ideal for an enthusiastic radiographer with an interest in developing their career in education.
This role includes the opportunity to support student learning in classroom-based teaching (face-to-face and virtual), in skills sessions in our skills suite and by supporting them in their clinical practice.
Main duties of the job
- Preparing and delivering lectures and seminars and similar learning support under the guidance of others.
- Leading or supporting the teaching of small group sessions.
- Prepare teaching materials (including the development of blended learning materials).
- Supervising and supporting student-centred learning activities within a framework designed by others.
- Administration required for the smooth running of the School (i.e. monitoring attendance, maintaining assessment records and carrying out module evaluations, in accordance with regulations of the time.
