Main duties of the job
We're looking for an experienced, credible HR leader who is ready to support the New Hospital Programme.As our HR & OD Business Partner, you'll deliver a high quality, professional service to managers, staff and the New Hospitals Programme (NHP) Executive Team. You'll play a key role in leadership and team development, supporting culture change and strengthening the professionalism of the New Hospitals Programme.You will:
- Lead the delivery of an efficient, effective and strategic HR & OD service for the New Hospitals Programme
- Develop and implement key HR & OD strategies, plans and procedures
- Provide expert advice on complex HR and OD matters, ensuring timely, safe and productive outcomes
- Drive continual improvement of policies, systems and processes in line with best practice and legislationPartner with leaders to deliver plans covering talent, performance, resourcing, engagement and capability
- Work autonomously, managing your own priorities and commitments
- Lead the development of local workforce plans aligned to organisational objectives
- Monitor progress, ensure accountability and oversee delivery within agreed timescales and budgets
- Shape future processes, facilitate discussions and embed best practice across the organisation

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Essential
- Degree level qualification, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline, i.e. Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business Studies, etc.
- Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (Chartered MCIPD) or able to evidence having commenced the upgrading process with CIPD or willing to undertake accreditation
- Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area

- Significant experience in a senior HR and OD professional role, working in a customer-focused and face paced environment
- Experienced in HR and OD business partnering, with the ability to translate organisational objectives into clear HR and OD deliverables and project, providing constructive challenge and support to line managers at all levels to improve line management standards.
