Main duties of the job

We are looking for a Head of Analysis & Insights, who will work within the Commercial Market Management team, working closing with senior business stakeholders to maximise delivery value, minimise risk and deliver the agreed benefits of the programme through cost saving or improvement operations.

Post holder be part of leading and delivering the NHP strategy, working closing with internal and external stakeholders, including our Health Delivery Partners, with various teams such as Market shaping, Demand planning, procurement, contract management, delivery, technical and H2.0 Alliance operations team and more.

We're seeking someone with:

  • Senior leadership experience, ideally within a construction setting
  • The ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • A strong track record of co-ordinating market intelligence, and strong understanding for supplier risk management and visualisation tools.
  • Experienced in resilience and risk analysis.

Earlier this year, the Government announced that NHS England will gradually merge with the Department of Health and Social Care, to create a smaller, more strategic centre that reduces duplication and waste.

If successful at interview, we will initiate an Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR). This retrieves key data from your current or previous NHS employer to support onboarding, including competency status, Continuous Service Dates (CSD), and annual leave entitlement. You may opt out at any stage of the process.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

Essential

  • Membership of (or to be currently working towards) the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or World Commerce and Contracting (WCC - formerly IACCM) or equivalents.

Desirable

  • Educated to Post Graduate Degree level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area

Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in resilience and risk, supplier relationship management, risk analysis and market engagement
  • Strong understanding of supplier risk management and analysis and visualisation tools. For example, Microsoft tools, platforms such as PowerBI
  • Market Engagement: experience of engaging with key stakeholders, including potential contractors, industry experts, regulatory bodies, and community representatives
  • Market Creation: identifying gaps or unmet needs within the market and developing strategies to address them, this may have involved introducing innovative solutions, creating new market segments or expanding existing ones
  • Market Resilience and Management Strategy: experience of developing resilience strategies that addresses potential challenges and disruptions within the market, involving analytical work into market dynamics and risk management
