Job summary
The GP Associate Director will assist and work with the Head of GP School and Primary Care Dean to ensure the delivery of high-quality GP specialty training and support the development of the Primary Care workforce in London.
A GP Associate Director at 3session per week post has become available in South London (GSTT + Kings) with a view to starting asap (negotiable). This position is available until 31/10/2026

The post will be for 3 sessions a week (12 hours per week).
Main duties of the job
The Associate Director will have local responsibility for the co-ordination, provision and management of postgraduate general practice activities across London as well as providing input into the development of the primary care workforce through promoting multi-professional education. Responsibilities will include, amongst others:
To support and work with the Head of School for GP Education with the preparation, implementation and management of postgraduate general practice foundation and specialty training schemes within their patch.
To develop links and liaise with the Royal College of General Practitioners and the General Medical Council on the approval of posts selected for general practice training.
To liaise with emerging training hubs in their patches.
To liaise with internal and external senior stakeholders over issues relating to specialty training for general practice.
