Job summary
NHSE Workforce Training and Education Directorate (WT&E) is looking to recruit to the posts of Dental Foundation Early Years Training Programme Director working across London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
You will work as part of the regional London and KSS teams. You will be required to carry out practice visits across London and KSS, in person and remotely.
The post holders will work closely with the Regional Dean, Associate Deans andOffice teams within WT&E.
There are 9 vacant sessions to undertake the role of Dental Foundation Early Years Training Programme Director. Sessions will be allocated and agreed with successful applicants.
Main duties of the job
Work in collaboration with Associate Deans for Workforce and Foundation in delivering recommendations of NHSE Dental Education reform programme (DERP)
Quality Management of Early Years (Dental foundation and Early years 2-year programme) for a delegated scheme within London, Kent Surrey and Sussexregion.
- To monitor the professional development of Foundation Dentists on the Early years (2-year programme) and report this to the regional Associate Dean for Foundation.
- To ensure that this quality management processes conforms to guidance
- To organise an allocated Early Years Dental Foundation Scheme
The allocation of TPDs to individual schemes will be at the discretion of the Regional PGDD and AD (Dental Foundation).
