Training Programme Director for Simulation

Job summary

The role of Training Programme Director (TPD) for Simulation is to work with and support the Systems Dean in leading the delivery of a range of functions aligned to the NHS England mandate.

This role will include coordinating and leading the implementation of the simulation strategy for London, as well as working with clinical leads on the requirements for simulation curriculum mapping. This role will be working with the motivated London medical workforce team.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be the clinical lead for the London Simulation Network (LSN). This will include chairing the quarterly meetings, providing leadership for the group and encouraging co-operation and the sharing of good practice.

  • Primary clinical healthcare qualification
  • Membership/ fellowship of a college, faculty, professional association and/or regulatory body
  • Attendance at courses aimed to support educational development (example: educator courses, train the trainer, etc.)

  • Demonstrable leadership skills and an ability to influence and motivate others
