This job is now closed

Job summary

The Net Zero Travel and Transport (NZTT) team is one of three small sub-teams within NHS England's Transport Team. Their over-arching objective is to reduce the greenhouse gas and air pollution emissions from all forms of NHS travel and transport to net zero by 2045.

The Senior Specialist Manager post in the NZTT team has recently become vacant, due to the promotion of the previous postholder. We are therefore seeking a new recruit to lead on developing and delivering our data and analytics strategy for the NZTT team in particular.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve working closely with a broad range of NHS and transport stakeholders to:

  • Improve the breadth, depth and accuracy of data sources upon which we will iterate and augment our NZTT programme
  • Develop new tools, dashboards and other analytical resources to support NHS organisations to reduce the carbon and air pollution emissions from all of their travel and transport.
  • Support the development of further data and analytics capabilities across the Transport teams (NZTT, Non-Emergency Patient Transport, and Ambulance Improvement) more generally.

For a more detailed description of the role and associated responsibilities, please refer to the attached Job Description and Person Specification.
