Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Operational Performance team, within the National Cancer Programme, as Transformation Lead, taking a leading role in developing and implementing national strategy for improving performance against the national Cancer Waiting Time standards.

Main duties of the job

The post provides leadership and oversees management of the Operational Performance team, who lead nationally on the approach to improvement performance against the national Cancer Waiting Time standards.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

We are looking for someone with significant cancer-specific operational and commissioning experience within the health service, with an in depth knowledge of NHS Performance Standards and how these can be improved and managed in practice. This includes having subject level expertise on the Cancer Waiting Times, built up through your experience.
