Job summary
The IRLSS Private Office team for the Director of Innovation, Research, and Life Sciences Strategy sub-directorate plays a pivotal role in supporting the IRLSS directors and senior leadership team. The private office delivers an intelligent, high-functioning executive support model to IRLSS Director, and is responsible for strategic, operational and logistical activities. Colleagues in the team give effective, insightful and honest advice on all aspects of their operation, from strategic advice to logistical arrangements.
The Senior Business Manager is a pivotal role in the IRLSS Private Office, driving the day-to-day running and effectiveness with oversight operational activity within the IRLSS Private Office sphere, including exceptional diary and inbox management

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

The Senior Business Managers key roles include:
Direct support to the Director of IRLSS:
Ensure the Director remains fully aligned with all corporate activities and mandatory returns as required, for example regular updates to Declaration of Interests
Manage communication channels (including the email inbox) assigning actions to other professionals as required
Manage all of the business processes and returns including Oracle, ESR and Atamis
Direct oversight and accountability of the Director of IRLSS logistical arrangements including diary and travel plans.
Preparation of clearance packs and ensuring these are completed in a timely manner.
Support in the development of weekly team forward reporting of activities, risks and achievements to the Director team.
Support to other IRLSS Directors
Ensure the Directors remain fully aligned with all corporate activities and mandatory returns as required, for example regular updates to Declaration of Interests
