Job summary
This is a great opportunity for someone with stakeholder management skills, experience in database administration, and ideally a working knowledge of the Urgent and Emergency Care Directory of Services (DoS) to join the dynamic National DoS team as National DoS Programme Manager. The DoS is the directory that helps identify the right services for patients for the urgent or emergency care need, so they can be referred or directed to appropriate care. The postholder will be supporting managers and staff across the NHS in England to improve the quality of the information held within the DoS and work to inform product requirements.
The postholder will work closely with senior leaders, regions, digital, policy and delivery teams whilst supporting the management of the national UEC DoS.
The postholder will join a hard-working and high-performing team who drive change and have real impact on patients and service users.
NHS England has Flexible Working policies in place and any requests for flexible working will be considered in line with these.
The postholder will be required to travel regularly across England to engage with stakeholders and users.
Main duties of the job
In particular the post holder will:
- Support the delivery of the UEC Recovery Plan, the forthcoming 10 Year Plan and other national NHS initiatives
- Work with regional and local DoS teams to ensure the efficiency, efficacy and effectiveness of the DoS is maintained
- Represent the National DoS Team in a range of virtual and face-to-face meetings, workshops and events relevant to the programmes and projects they are assigned
- Support the objective of ensuring patients requiring urgent or emergency care are referred to the most appropriate service for their needs
