Digital Workplace Services

A Digital Workplace isthe name given to today's virtual, modern version of traditional workplaces. The Digital Workplace experience provides personalised, role-based services as well as the data, applications, and collaboration tools required for employees to work securely with each other from anywhere, on any device, at any time.

Our aim is to enable teams across the NHS to connect to information,expertiseand knowledge to help them be more productive and to support decision making.

Digital Workplace Services will adopt a simple, user-centric approach adoption of technology and digital tools, systems and services across the new NHS England and the wider system.

The teams are divided into threecore areas providing technical and service managementexpertise.

  • collaboration services
  • webteam
  • corporate IT
  • Services are delivered to internal customers and NHS organisation

These are technical product leading roles within the NHS.net Team. One role is within the Microsoft Defender endpoint team within NHS.net. The other 2 roles will span the Technical Architecture and Centre of Excellence team providing technical product knowledge of the Microsoft technology suite and the NHS.net tenant.

Please note this job vacancy is based in either Wellington Place, Leeds LS1 4AP, Wellington House, London SE1 8UG & Hexagon House EX2 5SE.

Main duties of the job

  • Design and implement M365 solutions, processes, services which improves the NHS ways of working, leading to better care for NHS patients and service users
  • Collaborate with NHS, Supplier and partner organisations to develop the NHS.net Connect offering which leads to better outcomes for consumers of the NHS.net Connect Service
  • MDE Specific Criteria
  • Experience with Kusto Query language and Advanced Hunting within (MDE).
  • Collect MDE data using Odata queries / API calls to the MDE API's
  • Understanding of URBAC in a shared tenant and how MDE links and interacts the wider Microsoft XDR components.
  • Able to configure and support complex device group configuration in a multi organisation shared tenant.
  • A good understanding of how MDAV and other 3rd party AV solutions interact with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and their correct configuration states.
  • Specialist knowledge and the ability to support in the following areas: Onboarding via (Intune, GPO, CM),Device Discovery, Web Protection, TVM / MDVM, Attack Disruption, Unified Agent for onboarding endpoints to MDE, Simplified Connectivity.
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft security features on End user devices.
  • A good understanding with the use of Powershell

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

  • Understanding of security features and best practice including device security and identity management
  • Ability to evaluate and impact assess private and public new features and to share the outcome of findings with key stakeholders of the service.

  • Structured approach to troubleshooting and fault-finding including root cause analysis'
