Job summary

The Programme Management Team supports doctors in training and educators by ensuring that data that relates to Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education (PMDE) training is accurately recorded, using the Trainee Information System (TIS).

The overarching aim of the team is to enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives.The team work closely with educators, trust colleagues, Host Placement Providers, administrators, the Lead Employer and other NHSE teams to ensure that placement information is recorded in an accurate way and ensure data quality.

The Team also liaise with stakeholders to ensure that workstreams and processes such as LTFT, OOP and IDT are successfully managed.The Programme Management Officer will support the team in maintaining a high quality, robust and comprehensive database in the East of England by providing high quality project, service, initiative and administrative support, including information and analysis.

The postholder may be expected to carry out other appropriate delegated duties as required.

Main duties of the job

  • Supporting the Programme Management Team's objectives and workstreams
  • Providing high quality project, service, initiative and administrative support including information and analysis.
  • To undertake reporting and analysis of information to support delivery
  • To support, organise and train staff in the use of the database.
  • Contributing to the formulation and implementation of organisational and national policy.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you'll usually need to be paid the 'standard' salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the 'going rate' for your job, whichever is higher.
