Job summary

NHS England Data Portfolio Management - Project Manager (AfC Band 7)The Data Portfolio Management team manage the portfolio of data assets that are shared for research and commissioning purposes. Working across a number of teams to ensure that data assets are elaborated, meet all legal and information governance requirements, can be provisioned via a Secure Data Access Environment.

The team also manage a number of service improvement projects.The teams focus is on the information and metadata about the datasets, so this is not a technical role where you would be accessing record level data.This post will be expected to deliver projects themselves AND oversee the delivery of all the other work undertaken within the team.

Main duties of the job

Duties specific to this role are:

  • Managing project delivery using Agile principles as appropriate to the area of work (programme and operations)
  • Planning and delivery in line with User Centred Design principles
  • Development and delivery duties within Project Management Office

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
