Job summary
The Transformation Strategy team sits in the Transformation Directorate of NHS England and works closely with colleagues across the Transformation Directorate, NHS England and into the Department for Health and Social care.
It is an exciting time to join the team, as we work with new ministers and their teams and our colleagues across NHS England to set out our plans for the health and care system of the future.
We are responsible for the development of the strategy for a digital, data and technology enabled NHS, and we are currently working on defining our vision for the next 10 years - setting out how digital, data and technology can transform the health and care system, improving the health of the nation and ensuring its long-term sustainability for years to come.
We are building our team to help develop this strategy. We are distilling the greatest issues society and the NHS face, identifying how digital, data and technology can best address these and working with national programme teams and our ICB colleagues to deliver meaningful, measurable change.
Main duties of the job
We are recruiting a Strategy Analyst and the successful candidate can expect their work to be challenging, complex and extremely rewarding as well as working with some excellent people. Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. - Educated to post-graduate level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
Knowledge

- Ability to analyse very complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources.
- Demonstrated capabilities to manage own workload and make informed decisions in the absence of required information, working to tight and often changing timescales.
- Subject matter expertise across a number of key areas relating to analysis and statistics
- Extensive knowledge of specialist areas acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent.
