Job summary

The postholder will work as part of the team to deliver an effective service to support the deputy director, they will provide strategic development and day to day management of the policy development functions. This will enable the team to operate effectively and deliver their priorities.

Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and prioritize them across the team.

Keep patient interest at the centre of all activities and involve patients and public in policy development where appropriate.

Keep up to date with policy developments across health and care and be mindful of the impact of policy development on other stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

1.Operate as a senior lead working internally and externally to deliver project initiatives and services.

2. Support the identification of best practice and proactively identify business improvement opportunities.

3. Prioritise improvement activities across the team and propose projects where value can be added to patients.

4. Operate intelligently in a highly political and sensitive environment.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
