Job summary

The NHS has implemented a national single eCommercial software solution for the recording of proposed commercial workplan activity that will be required to be procured by each NHS organisation. We are looking for someone with team management experience, good procurement or software support experience and good customer relationship skills to assist with this exciting programme of works.

The post holder will support the Senior Systems Programme Manager to ensure that the Health Family eCommercial system is operational, fit for purpose and providing continued improvement, in-line with procurement regulations and providing the right end-user support.

This role forms part of managing a national support service, to support in-scope organisations in effectively adopting the system, improving data quality, and identifying opportunities to increase commercial value for the NHS.

As a Systems and Reporting Lead, the post holder will take ownership of technical requirements (involving change management) and assure these are delivered by the system supplier and lead the team to provide excellent end-user support.

The role will help define workflows, system reports and dashboards to monitor process compliance and identify improvement opportunities, develop and deliver training sessions. The post holder will facilitate discussions and advise colleagues as to how best practice might be adopted in the future processes, document those processes as they are agreed, and oversee their delivery.

Main duties of the job

Lead the national Support team

Manage the roll-out of the national eCommercial software system to all new organisations

Support in-scope organisations in effectively adopting the system improving data quality, and identifying opportunities to increase commercial value for the NHS

Be pivotal interface between software supplier and end-users of select system

Engage with a range of key internal and external stakeholders of all NHS organisations using selected eCommercial software

Oversee, manage the workplan module system changes of selected software solution via Change Assurance board

Manage all communication sessions around software solution (including training sessions, User forums etc.)

Identify key continuous improvement opportunities for software solution adoption and day to day use

Keep abreast of all new procurement regulations in making sure software solution adopts all requirements

Keep workplan information/ documentation up to date

Review data quality of all submitted data on to the eCommercial software

Help define workflows, system reports, and dashboards to monitor process compliance and identify improvement opportunities. To use data and insight to optimise operations and enable effective insight on national, regional and integrated care system level

Analyse, interpret, and present data to highlight issues, risks and support decision making

Participate in meetings and conferences where required (covering for Senior Manager where appropriate).

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
