Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Regional Operations and System Support Directorate to join the East of England Mid and South Essex System Coordination Team as an Improvement and Delivery Manager. This is to cover for a maternity leave for up to 10 months from 1st November 2024. The successful candidate for this role will be highly organised, proactive and results driven and looking for an opportunity to develop their skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.

The purpose of the System Co-ordination team is to lead on operational planning, to monitor performance against annual operating plans and constitutional standards; to support ICBs, providers and systems to optimise their overall performance, to reduce unwarranted clinical variation and to ensure the most effective and efficient use of resources across the health service.

Main duties of the job

This role is an essential and integral post within the Regional Operations and Systems Support Directorate and will be covering a Diagnostics and Cancer portfolio. The portfolio area of focus for the successful candidate will be determined on the individual team need. This role will providing direct support to complex ICS systems through close working with ICBs and provider trusts to support the expected delivery in the portfolio area.

The Improvement and Delivery Manager will work as part of the Operations and Systems Support Directorate; but will be required to interact with other regional directorates and NHS commissioners and providers within the Mid and South Essex ICB on a regular basis. This is a hybrid role, which offers an informal, flexible way of blending home and office working.
