The New Hospital Programme (NHP) is a transformative initiative aimed at modernising the UK's healthcare infrastructure by building and upgrading hospitals to meet the needs of future generations. The success of this ambitious programme depends on having the right talent in place to deliver these projects, and the NHP People Team plays a vital role in ensuring this by recruiting, developing, and engaging the workforce required to bring the Programme's goals to life.
The Senior Resourcing Business Partner is responsible for leading the recruitment and resourcing processes within the NHP People Team, ensuring the effective, responsive, and resilient delivery of talent acquisition services.
They will develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain high-quality talent, ensuring that the Programme is supported by a skilled and diverse workforce. The Senior Resourcing Business Partner will be responsible for managing recruitment data, reporting and analysis, and contributing to workforce forecasting to inform strategic resourcing plans that align with the Programme's objectives.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Resourcing Business Partner is responsible for leading the recruitment and resourcing efforts within the New Hospital Programme (NHP) People Team, ensuring the efficient, responsive, and resilient delivery of recruitment services to meet the Programme's needs.

The post holder will be responsible for building strong relationships with recruitment agencies, programme delivery partner, managing internal recruitment processes, and ensuring that all recruitment activities align with the Programme's strategic objectives.
The role will oversee the entire recruitment process, from developing and implementing resourcing strategies to managing candidate pipelines and ensuring best-in-class recruitment practices.

Partnership and cross-boundary working: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with external recruitment agencies, headhunters, and delivery partners to ensure a pipeline of high-quality candidates. Work closely with internal stakeholders, including HR and department heads, to understand staffing needs and align recruitment strategies accordingly.
Leadership for transformational change: Provide strategic leadership to the Resourcing team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Lead initiatives that drive transformational change in recruitment, ensuring that the Programme is agile and responsive to changing workforce needs.
Financial and Physical Resources: Manage the resourcing budget effectively, ensuring that all recruitment activities are cost-effective and deliver value for money. Track and report on financial performance related to recruitment activities.
People Management: Lead, coach, and develop the Resourcing team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. Handle staff performance reviews, development plans, and any necessary employee relations matters.
Market Intelligence and Innovation: Stay updated on market trends and innovations in recruitment and resourcing. Leverage this knowledge to introduce new recruitment methods and tools that enhance the Programme's ability to attract top talent.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure that all recruitment activities comply with NHS policies, employment laws, and best practices. Implement and maintain governance frameworks to manage risks associated with recruitment.
