Job summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the Chair & Chief Executive's Offices' Private Office, in a fast-paced and exciting environment, across a broad range of portfolio areas. You'll work closely with senior leaders, including NHS Executive, managing the day-to-day business of the Chair and CEO and supporting with policy development to ensure delivery against NHS England's key priorities.

Main duties of the job

You will need experience working in Private Office or similar environment and influencing senior stakeholders, the ability to build strong collaborative relationships across the team and wider organisation, as well as Department of Health and Social Care and other external bodies, to provide high-quality support and insight to the Chair and CEO.

This role requires a mix of organisation and process management, problem solving, emotional intelligence, judgment, discretion, and political acumen.You will need strong communication skills, including the ability to interpret and present a range of complex ideasand data to different audiences, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

The post holder is required to work flexibly, as part of a strong Private Office team, deputising for colleagues as necessary to provide the highest level of support to the Chair and CEO, and wider office where required.

Due to the nature of the role, this is an office-based role in Wellington House, London, up to 5 days per week as required.
