Job summary

We are currently recruiting for a Training Programme Director - Foundation Trainee Pharmacists, to work as part of our innovative North East andYorkshire School of Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a pharmacy professional to work with training providers and designated supervisors, to support the infrastructure to developquality assured programmes to ensure a consistent approach to education and training, across sectors. The role will enable the successfulcandidate to work as part of the School team, and with other NHS England professional leads to support foundation trainee pharmacists, within the workforce transformation programme in the North East and Yorkshire.

You will be based at one of the local NHS England Offices.

The successful candidate will be accountable to the Head of Foundation and is responsible for providing professional leadership, together withexpertise, advice and support.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Educated to Masters' level, or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area, in Pharmacy and healthcare leadership.

Knowledge and experience

Essential

  • Experience of working as a senior pharmacy professional, with extensive knowledge of pharmacy and medicines optimisation.
  • Highly developed subject matter expertise, including knowledge of NHS policy, educational policy and healthcare leadership and management.

Skills, Capabilities & Attributes

  • Builds stakeholder communication strategies and manage development and delivery of these
  • Capable of effective planning over medium to long-term timeframes, making adjustments and planning for specialty training and resourcing accordingly
  • Contributes to the quality management of the training
