Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Business Partnering team in the New Hospital Programme as a Finance Business Partner. We are currently recruiting to 3 roles in the team.
The New Hospital Programme (NHP) Finance Directorate supports and enables the delivery of NHP's strategic objectives by ensuring that NHP's finances are managed appropriately in the short-, medium- and long-term - ensuring there are robust controls in place to manage risk, proactive stakeholder engagement and effective financial management (including ownership of workstream budgets and agreeing capital envelopes).
These posts are within the Finance Business Partner Team within the NHP Finance Directorate. By establishing trusted relationships with key stakeholders, the Finance Business partner team delivers the insight needed to make high-quality decisions that drive value for money and improve patient care.
Main duties of the job
As a Finance Business Partner within the New Hospital Programme you will deliver a full range of finance business partnering support to teams across the Programme including Delivery and cost management teams:
- You will provide robust and accurate financial information that adheres to the regular financial cycle of reporting including monthly forecasting and annual budgets.
- You will be responsible for the completion of timely and accurate financial processes, authorisations, transactions, forecasts, and budgets.
- The role will include identifying and solving complex issues including assisting business areas with queries and advising on processes and best practice.
- You will be comfortable working in an inclusive way with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, using your strong people skills to build relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers and provide the insight required to make appropriate decisions in a challenging environment.
- You will use your expertise in generating and processing financial and non-financial data to help achieve the optimum mix of quality, efficiency, and value for money.
- You will need to present, interpret, and explain complex and technical financial information and concepts in a clear and concise format, tailoring for finance and non-finance audiences.
