Job summary
Please note that this role is based in Canary Wharf, Londonand it is a requirement that the post holder attends the Canary Wharf office twice a week.
There are a total of 6 roles available:
3 permanent roles
2 fixed term roles - 12 months
1 fixed term role - 9 months
The Healthcare Education Team (HET) has C. 180 staff members, comprising of the Senior Leadership Team, 3 x Trainee Management Teams and the Recruitment Team.
HET is a fundamental part of the organisation, taking on the responsibility for the administrative support for recruitment, training, assessment and rotation of doctors and dentists in training across the whole of London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex, as well as sharing our expertise to support allied health professionals and the regional healthcare providers.
Main duties of the job
Officers are responsible for ensuring that the portfolio of tasks/projects across the business area is planned, managed and delivered effectively. This is an interesting and varied role, with key duties including:
leading recruitment events and trainee doctor's assessment processes
post management
specialty school support and projects
line management
The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deal confidently and sensitively with a wide range of people at all levels. This is a fast-paced environment so the ability to manage a diverse workload to meet tight deadlines and motivate your team is essential.
The post holder will have opportunities to gain experience across different areas of the team and participate in Management Development Programmes.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
