Job summary

The South East Pharmacy Team is responsible for supporting the delivery of the NHS England Workforce, Training and Education mandate by supporting pharmacy workforce transformation, innovation in education and training, and collaboration across health and care sectors in the region.

As a Training Programme Facilitator you will provide professional expertise to the Foundation Pharmacist Training Programme and oversee the delivery of a portfolio of projects and programmes across the region.

The role requires excellent organisational, leadership and management skills alongside the ability to lead matrix working initiatives.

You should have a passion for education, a sound understanding of the different sectors of pharmacy, with experience of working as part of a multi-professional team and a track record of delivering projects to deadlines.

This role covers NHS England South East region. Office base can be flexed dependent on suitability; Explorer House in Southampton, Premier House in Reading or York House in Horley. The post holder will be expected on occasion to travel across the South East, as well as to other parts of England as required.

Main duties of the job

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced practitioner wishing to expand their portfolio and gain experience of working at a regional level with involvement in national initiatives.

The role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a forward thinking team that has a strong focus on innovation and delivery across the South East.

You will be part of a team who really make a difference to the educationand training of pharmacy professionals, improving the carereceived by patients and the public across the South East of England.

This role will offer a busy and rewarding position for the right candidate, allowing for full utilization and development of project management and stakeholder engagement skills.

When you join, you'll receive an induction and have the opportunity to attend a variety of skills-related courses, some on-line.

Essential

  • Registered with GPhC
  • Degree level qualification, or equivalent
  • Postgraduate diploma / equivalent experience or training in healthcare education / workforce development

Desirable

  • Formal training in project management or equivalent experience obtained in a project environment

Skills & Knowledge

  • Commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion principles as part of education and training programme delivery
  • Ability to effectively communicate across a range of stakeholders, proactively seeking out different styles and methods of communication to enable longer terms needs and aims
