The Centre for Advancing Practice is looking for a nationally recognised and respected consultant practitioner to drive the implementation of ourMulti-professional Consultant Practitioner Framework.
You will be a self-motivated change agent with excellent attention to detail, a natural ability to build strong and effective multi professional partnerships, plan, be keen to apply your excellent organisational skills and be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels. Successful delivery is dependent on collaborative working, building trust and consensus so the ability to demonstrate strong communication skills (particularly regarding complex concepts) and develop robust stakeholder relations across the health and care system is essential.
The successful post holder will be a statutory regulated clinician with a broad experience across service and academia and be committed to the culture and values of the NHS.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting, high-profile opportunity to lead important, innovative, and high-quality workforce solutions across this key national programme, helping to ensure that NHS England delivers key Mandate and NHS Long Term Plan policy improvement priorities in education reform and workforce transformation. The successful candidate will have a track record in national leadership associated with the development of consultant level practice across professions and areas of practice.
They will also have extensive experience of:
- working at advanced/consultant level practice and the work of the Centre for Advancing Practice- national coproduction and effective matrix working within this complex field across professional groups- driving equality of opportunity- sound working knowledge of the evidence-based approaches and challenges of training and implementation of this workforce
The post holder will work within the Centre for Advancing Practice and regional teams building capacity and capability for future delivery across systems, will work to develop multi professional understanding and approaches in partnership with professional and national long term plan programmes. We work to a distributed leadership model across the programme and our operating model is based upon a system first approach within regions, an ability to work respectfully and productively within this environment is essential.
