Job summary
The NHS was created in 1948 to care for patients and communities across the nation. The NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme (GMTS) has been around almost as long, with the first trainees recruited in 1956. Today, the Scheme offers a diverse range of graduates the opportunity to develop to mid-level managers and future leaders.
This post works as part of the GMTS Experience team which is focused on delivering excellent work-based placements for trainees. The GMTS Experience team is outward-focused and responsible for assuring the work-based learning and programme experience for trainees. The team provides direct support to individual trainees and NHS organisations. The post-holder will play a key role in ensuring the provision of an efficient, effective and high-quality service capable of meeting all regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation.
A strategic objective of GMTS is to increase the representation on the Scheme of traditionally underrepresented groups compared to the wider NHS workforce. Therefore we believe that the GMTS team should reflect this ambition. As a result we are seeking applications from a diverse range of people, especially those from underrepresented groups across all protected characteristics.
