Job summary
The North West School of Radiology (NWSOR) is seeking applications for Subspecialty Curriculum & Training Leads who will will be responsible for the coordination of the School's Academy curriculum as well as contribute to teaching within the Academy. The post holder will also oversee training support within their subspecialty area supporting training within the subspecialty areas such as ARCP, expansion and pastoral support.
We are currently seeking appointments for the below subspecialties:
- Paediatric Radiology (1PA)
- Diagnostic Neuroradiology (1PA)
- Interventional Neuroradiology (0.5PA)
The post holders will be responsible for curriculum coverage within the sub speciality sessions in the ST1 & ST2 Academy placements. This includes liaising with consultants in the region to support teaching delivery and curriculum coverage of teaching sessions.
The post holder will have teaching commitments as part of the 1PA sessional role (1 per month). This will need to be set as a pre-agreed 'Academy Day' prior to appointment to support rotational timetabling.
Travel to our regional Academy sites is expected and required for all of our posts. All mileage and incurred expenses are reimbursed.
Main duties of the job

o Academy placement teaching 1 session per month
o Pre-agreed nominated academy teaching day prior to appointment
o Responsible for curriculum coverage and provide advice/support for the delivery of all specialty specific sessions in the ST1 and ST2 academy
o Update curriculum once set up including yearly review
o Liaise with specialty specific colleagues within the region for teaching sessions and create common specialty specific tutor group across the NW training sites
o Liaise with programme support team for Academy & Training support
o TPD Chair for ARCP assessment panels (max 1-2 per year)
o Member of the School Board/STC
o Liaise and work with Head of School, Academy Director and Exam support lead
o Bi yearly - meeting performance review with Academy Director/AHoS/HoS
o Yearly Appraisal and Educator MSF
o Attend yearly academy development day meeting
o Contribute to CIMAR database
The post holder will work collaboratively with Academy Director, Head of School, TPDs and Programme Support to support robust operational delivery within the NW School of Radiology.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
