Job summary
The HR & OD Business Partner will be responsible for delivering an effective service supporting managers, staff and Strategic Heads of HR/OD and HR/OD Lead Business Partners across regions and corporate directorates.
Reporting into a Strategic HR&OD Business Partner they will have specific responsibility for the following:
- Ensuring leadership and team development is given a focus to support delivery, culture change and the professionalism of the service;
- Leading the provision of an efficient, effective, high quality professional, strategic and well-co-ordinated HR & OD service to directors and managers;
- Supporting the Strategic HR & OD BP/Head of HR & OD with the development, delivery and implementation of key HR & OD strategies, plans and procedures;
- Providing strategic professional advice on complex HR and OD issues in order to facilitate timely and safe resolutions and improve quality, efficiency, productivity and cost, where appropriate;
- Contributing to the continual improvement of HR & OD policies, systems and processes in line with best practice and relevant employment legislation;
- Working in partnership with key customers to develop and deliver HR & OD plans which includes, but not limited, talent, performance, resourcing, engagement and capability development, supporting leaders and managers to deliver HR & OD performance;
- Working autonomously, including planning and prioritising own work and commitments

Operational
- As a senior lead working internally and externally to deliver projects, initiatives and services to time and in a cost effective
- To support the identification and sharing of best practice in [discipline] to support service improvement.
- To operate in a highly political and sensitive environment.
- Support the portfolio of programmes/projects in demonstrating value for money tracking, managing and delivering agreed
- Provide specialist advice and prepare strategic reports and briefings for directors and stakeholders.
- In depth analysis, interpretation and production of complex and multiple reports.
Key Working Relationships
- Communicates and provides highly complex information to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. (verbal, written and numerical)
- Present highly complex information about projects, initiatives and services to a wide range of stakeholders in a formal setting.
- Commit to working and engaging constructively with internal and external stakeholders on a range of contentious issues.
- Support matrix working internally and collaborative working across organisations
