The role ofNational Online Training Fellow is to work with and support theNational Online Training Programme Directorin delivery ofa national online training programme,aligned tothe Curriculum.TheNOTF isprofessionally and managerially accountable to theNOTPD, and will focus upon development and delivery of a National Training Hub, in close collaboration with the Specialty Associations.
The provision will include live webinar and catch-up events, and an online resource (in collaboration with the other NOTF and NOTPD specialty leads). This will be modelled on the National CST Hub. The aim is to cover the breadth of theoretical knowledge required in each specialty to pass the JCIE FRCS examinations. There will be a separate development stream developing content to support common elements of the curriculum, and an expectation that cross-specialty education should be encouraged where curricula allow.
The aim is for the programme to replace didactic teaching, freeing up learner and educator time for more interactive local and regional teaching that focusses on specific skills and higher level reasoning.
Main duties of the job
To work with the National Online Training Programme Director, and National Programme Lead Head of School. To enable the delivery of a comprehensive series of webinars delivered by leaders in the field, covering the breadth of the curriculum, and providing effective support to the NOTPD in the technical delivery of the programme. To be a champion and advocate of the programme within the specialty, promoting and enabling access to learners, and towork collaboratively with other NOTFs and others tosupport development of content in shared curricular areas.
Developing and delivering 'best practice', and to capture innovation. To be an advocate and a positive role model on behalf of NHSE, by promoting leadership that inspires, motivates and empowers all staff, and demonstrating the values of the NHS.

You should be held in good standing within your training programme, and your TPD should support your application.
