Job summary
The CAHPO Clinical Fellow post is an amazing opportunity for an aspirational AHP to gain invaluable experience and to develop their skills and knowledge at the heart of national policy development in the NHS for the AHP workforce; to learn from and be mentored by the CAHPO and the three Deputy CAHPOs; and to contribute, input and add value with their own expertise, being part of the national CAHPO Team.
As the Clinical Fellow to the CAHPO, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service, supporting managers and colleagues across the Allied Health Professions portfolio to deliver expert advice and key enabling guidance to priority pieces of work.
The post holder will lead the provision of an efficient, effective and high quality professional and well-co-ordinated Allied Health Professions service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation.
Main duties of the job
- Work directly in support of the CAHPO, in the delivery of projects, programmes and events under their direction.
- Lead in the scope of implementation and evaluation of the current AHP Strategy for England.
- Provide leadership, as a member of the CAHPO team, in order that AHPs contribute to the quality agenda and service improvement.
- Routinely link with regions and system AHP colleagues in support of national priorities, programmes, and strategy initiatives
- Contribute to the delivery of AHP policy and play a role driving and delivering the AHP business plan to realise the strategic aims and objectives.
