Job summary
This role provides an opportunity to be at the cutting edge of fast paced operational delivery and development across the NHS, working collaboratively with NHS England, internal and external stakeholders to deliver safe and effective patient care during an unprecedented period.
The post holder will work as part of a small and dynamic team in delivering an effective UEC operational function, Supporting the NHS through local systems and within the regional operational footprint. The post holder will support, manage and lead the UEC operations team and deputise for other senior operational managers when required. The role will work closely with colleagues within the ROC, wider operations team including EPRR.
Main duties of the job
The role will develop close working relationships with the Duty Operations Director and other Incident Coordination Centre staff to ensure the maintenance of the regional common operating picture, whilst ensuring tasked are managed and delivered on time.
Externally the role will involve working closely with the local systems and individual organisations to ensure NHS delivery by supporting commissioners and local system teams.
The post holder will have responsibility for supporting operational delivery of the UEC operations function. The role will support other members of the Senior UEC operations team in oversight and delivery of programmes of work within the six ICS areas. This will include supporting improvement and transformation workstreams.

This is an office based job in Victoria House, Fulbourn. The post holder will be part of rotational 10-hour shifts working across 7 days per week including Bank Holidays.

Salary Progression Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8c with a full-time starting salary of £70,417, with a pay step increase after 5 years service. These salaries are offered in accordance with NHS Terms and Conditions and the HEE Pay Progression Policy and are subject to annual cost of living review. - Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
- Registered clinician such as Nurse, Paramedic or Doctor

- Clinical qualification desirable but not essential

- Experience of delivering projects and programmes on time and to a high standard
- Comprehensive experience of project principles techniques and tools such as Prince 2 and Managing Successful Projects.

- Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
