NHS Resolution operates a number of indemnity schemes, on behalf of the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, primarily for the handling of liability claims against English NHS Trusts and other commissioners and/or providers of NHS care.
The NHS Resolution Claims Management function is entering a phase of transformation and expansion with a vision to deliver a single, integrated claims function, with a supportive organisational structure that avoids duplication of effort and allows teams to develop their skills.

We are therefore recruiting to an Administrative Assistant role to join the Claims Management teams on a part-time 22.5 hours per week, permanent basis contract.
Main duties of the job
The Administrative Assistant will work alongside a team of administrators and the Team Leader, providing efficient and effective support for the claims function as well as supporting others as required and undertaking general office duties such as opening and sorting mail, scanning correspondence, directing electronic faxes, answering and dealing with phone enquiries, responding to emails, in person enquiries and preparing outgoing mail.
The Administrative Assistant will also demonstrate the following competencies:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Confidence in making and taking enquiries via phone and email
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Ability to work in an environment exposed to sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Intermediate IT proficiency in a range of Microsoft products and experience of using bespoke databases
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage and take responsibility for tasks, not simply complete them
