Job summary

The NHS Resolution Claims Management function is entering a phase of transformation and expansion with a vision to deliver a single, integrated claims function, with a supportive organisational structure that avoids duplication of effort and allows teams to develop their skills.
The Strategic Intervention Team created in February 2020 falls under the Claims Strategy function. The team are looking to:
- Promote collaborative working with claimant solicitors.
- Develop and test new ways of working and claims strategy.
- Evaluate claims data to increase learning.
- Advance our dispute resolution (DR) initiatives.
- Find new ways to inspire and cultivate change within the organisation through the furtherance of our business strategy and overall objectives.

We are therefore recruiting for the role of Senior Strategic Intervention Case Manager to join the Strategic Intervention Team on a permanent basis.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Strategic Intervention Case Manager is an experienced claims technician proficient in managing varying complexities of clinical negligence and non-clinical personal injury compensation claims. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the Team Leader, other members of the team, the mainstream Claims Teams and Technical Claims Unit to achieve and maintain the highest possible standard of claims settlement and claims cost containment.
The post holder will be responsible for research, planning, testing and implementing new protocols, processes and ways of working into the into the Claims function to identify risk, engineer processes where required and support activity to minimise leakages. The post holder will be required to maintain a small personal mixed caseload of clinical negligence, employers and public liability claims.
