NHS Resolution operates a number of indemnity schemes, on behalf of the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, primarily for the handling of liability claims against English NHS Trusts and other commissioners and/or providers of NHS care.

The NHS Resolution Claims Management function is entering a phase of transformation and expansion with a vision to deliver a single, integrated claims function, with a supportive organisational structure that avoids duplication of effort and allows teams to develop their skills.

This is an exciting time for the function with a wide range of opportunities available to support our aims in delivering our future vision.

We are therefore recruiting to Audit and Service Improvement Manager roles, looking for talented and experienced Claims Auditors to join our dedicated Claims Audit and Service Improvement Team on a permanent contract basis.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have experience of handling personal injury claims and knowledge of the relevant Civil Procedure Rules. The claims teams manage claims emanating from former PCTs and Strategic Health Authorities, which transferred to the Secretary of State. The Claims teams work in an interesting and dynamic climate, all contributing to a continually improving claims service.

As a Claims Auditor and Service Improvement Manager in the team, primarily you will be responsible for auditing internal and external complex clinical and non-clinical claims files. You will support the work of the Team to review and evaluate systems, processes, and initiatives. You will be responsible for supporting the operational function of the Team and working with the Audit Team Manager to both inform the audit process and monitor the delivery of actions arising from audit recommendations.

This key role within the claims function provides an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to help the Audit Team shape future developments and promote quality improvement within the Claims function at NHS Resolution.

The post holder will be expected to provide support in the setting of strategy and the implementation of new policies affecting all claims schemes, assist and provide support in the monitoring of delivery against NHS Resolutions Business Plan and on the formulation of implementation plans for the introduction of service changes in conjunction with the Audit Team Manager.
