Job description

Job responsibilities

The Maternity (Perinatal) Incentive Scheme is a nationally significant programme that supports NHS trusts to improve safety and quality in maternity and neonatal care. As MIS Coordinator, you will be a key member of the team, working closely with the MIS Clinical Lead and Associates to support delivery of the scheme and to help it evolve.

You will act as a central point of coordination for national meetings, training events, webinars and stakeholder engagement, while also supporting governance, audit, tracking and reporting processes. Just as importantly, you will be encouraged to bring forward ideas, suggest improvements, and help shape how the team works as the scheme continues to develop.

This role offers significant autonomy, variety, and exposure. One day you might be organising a national event with trusts and professional bodies, another day you might be improving tracking systems, supporting governance processes, or responding to stakeholder queries. You will work with colleagues across NHS Resolution and with trusts, regions, ICBs, national bodies and service user partners.

Why this role is different

  • Your ideas for improving systems, processes and ways of working will be welcomed
  • You will work on a highprofile national programme with real impact on maternity and neonatal safety
  • You will gain experience in governance, audit, events, digital platforms and national stakeholder engagement
  • You will be part of a small, supportive, expert team that values kindness, collaboration and development

What the role involves

  • Coordinating national MIS meetings, training events, webinars and launches, including logistics, communications, minutes and action tracking
  • Acting as a central point of contact for NHS trusts, regions, ICBs and national stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication
  • Supporting governance, audit and assurance processes, including KPI tracking, risk registers, policies, SOPs and audit trails
  • Managing and improving digital systems and platforms such as SharePoint, Eventbrite and FutureNHS
  • Providing daytoday organisational support to the MIS team, including diary management, inbox management and records
  • Contributing ideas and improvements to help shape how the scheme and team continue to evolve

What you'll bring

  • Experience in an administrative or coordination role, supporting projects, programmes or events
  • Strong organisational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Good IT skills and experience using digital systems and platforms to manage information and events
  • High attention to detail and confidence handling sensitive or confidential information
  • A proactive, positive approach, with enthusiasm for improvement, learning and working as part of a national team

What we offer in return

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for career growth and development.
  • Collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Work in a progressive environment towards data-driven strategies.
  • A commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion.
  • Access to the NHS Pension Scheme and a minimum of 27 days Annual Leave.
  • Commitment to support individuals in having a work and life balance, offering flexible working arrangements.

When joining the NHS family, there are a wealth of savings, discounts and support you will be able to access.

  • 24 hours employee assistance programme from Health Assured (EAP)
  • Eye care vouchers for Specsavers.
  • Health service discounts.
  • Blue Light card, a discount service for the emergency services and the NHS.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Season ticket loan scheme.
