Communications and Engagement Lead

Job summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated communications professional to join NHS Resolution's Corporate Affairs Directorate. The Communications and Engagement Lead is responsible for NHS Resolutions corporate communications teams, with oversight of digital communications, internal communications and the press office. They will co-ordinate the delivery of high-quality communications and engagement activities.

Please note this is a fixed term opportunity for 18 months.

Main duties of the job

As the Communications and Engagement lead, you will oversee:

  • The implementation of NHS Resolution's digital communications and social media strategy by ensuring external messages are consistent across all digital content and channels including website and social media;

  • The implementation of NHS Resolutions internal communication strategies and plans, supporting the implementation of corporate-wide programmes of work by ensuring internal messages are consistent across relevant internal channels, campaigns and e-newsletters;

  • The work of the press office

As part of your role you will also seek to identify greater alignment of all the above operations.

The Corporate Affairs directorate supports and promotes the work of NHS Resolution among our indemnity scheme members and beneficiaries, system partners and other stakeholders. We manage stakeholder engagement through a variety of channels and communications activities relevant to each of our target audiences, ensuring that NHS Resolution leverages its unique expertise across the health and justice systems.

  • educated to a masters degree or equivalent experience in a corporate communications role whether in the public, charitable or private sector.
  • demonstrable in-depth communications and engagement experience at a senior level
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • the ability to segment, prioritise and target specific audiences (internal or external)
  • the ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships and work with a range of individuals
  • demonstrable line management experience or leadership of teams
