Job responsibilities

The opportunity:

As interim People Transformation Lead for NHS Resolution, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the HR & OD Department’s strategic direction through effective organisational design and development. You will be responsible for leading the transformation, overseeing the redesign, while fostering a positive culture that aligns with the department’s mission and goals. A review has already been undertaken, and this role will utilise this alongside other intelligence to implement change in a structured way to drive forward the HR&OD function.

You will work closely with the CEO, CFO, and Deputy Director of HR&OD to scope, communicate, and implement the changes required to support the organisational requirements of the HR&OD function going forward.

A combination of successful delivery, strategic thinking, a deep understanding of human resources and learning and development with experience in organisational change within complex government and/or wider public sector organisations is required. As well as experience in senior People roles and delivery of People function transformation. Experience in running similar transformation programmes, along with people skills and knowledge, will be crucial in driving and supporting change.

What you’ll bring:

  • CIPD Level 7 (MCIPD) or equivalent learned experience
  • Familiar with HR Information Systems, data analytics and digital transformation in HR
  • Proven Leadership: Extensive experience in a senior HR or organisational development leadership role, preferably within the public sector or a medium-sized, complex organisation
  • Strategic HR and OD Expertise including:
  • Deep knowledge of HR and L&D best practices, organisational design, change management, and talent development
  • Experience in Restructuring: Proven track record in leading significant organisational change, redesign initiatives, and managing complex people-related transformation processes`
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships with senior executives, employees, and external stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of the public sector environment, either in a government or NHS capacity. You will understand the environment’s structure, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Established networks within the public sector, including links to government bodies, unions, and other relevant organisations.
  • A deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a focus on building a collaborative, inclusive and supportive work environment.
  • Able to attend regular meetings in London office (if working from home travel expenses will be covered for this)
