Service Integration & Management (SIAM) Analyst

Job summary

The role of SIAM Analyst, within the SIAM team, is a pivotal position within NHS Resolution, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of IT service management within the organisation. This role is accountable to the Service Performance and Improvement Manager and is responsible for the provision of quality assured IT Information and Service Management activities to NHS Resolution and its stakeholders. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that NHS Resolution's IT services are managed in a standardised and consistent manner, aligning with ITIL industry standards. This position is based in London or can be hybrid, providing flexibility and a dynamic working environment.

The key purpose of this broad role is to support the ongoing development of our SIAM framework and the implementation of ITIL-aligned. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, including all NHS Resolution staff, IT service providers, third-party suppliers, and the wider DDaTT department.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will play a key role in the continuation of the design and development of a structured, ITIL-aligned service management framework, supporting embedding its adoption across the organisation by:

  • Designing and developing structured ITIL-aligned processes: This requires a deep understanding of ITIL V3/V4 processes in lifecycle stages Service Design, Service Operation and CSI, service management best practices and experience of implementing ITIL processes, in a constantly changing environment.
  • Delivering comprehensive trend analytics and reporting: The candidate should have proficient IT skills, particularly in using Microsoft Office packages, with the ability to collate, analyse and interpret complex data sets from different sources in order to identify and report service performance trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting IT Supplier Management: The candidate will need strong relationship management skills, the ability to monitor, report and, where necessary, manage supplier performance, and a good understanding of commercial service partnering within a SIAM environment.
  • Controlling and administering data repositories used to manage SIAM services, including Knowledge database, IT Service Management toolset, CSI Register and Process Library: This requires experience of document management and use of tools such as Sharepoint and ITSM toolsets.

  • Information Technology or Business degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification and experience
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify and implement process change
  • Ability to innovate in the management of IT service and operational processes and to identify opportunities for more effective service delivery
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels and sometimes in sensitive and/or hostile environment
  • Demonstrable experience of Service Management and ITIL process design and implementation.
  • Experience of monitoring SIAM process performance against SLA’s and KPI’s, and participating in effective working relationships to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Experience of maintaining documentation relating to SIAM processes and providing information and advice on the use of these processes to internal staff and 3rd parties.
  • Engaging and building relationships with a range of internal stakeholders and suppliers, working collaboratively to support business outcomes
  • Demonstrable experience of multi-tasking, working across multiple projects, analysing opportunities, defining successful approaches, and proactively solve problems.
