Job summary
We are looking for someone to join the Decontamination Services team as a Decontamination Services Technician!
The hours for the role are:
Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
Saturday 8am to 1pm ( working 1 in 4 Saturdays )
The position will be part of the Bank Holiday rota working 8am to 12pm
Main duties of the job
To undertake decontamination services duties and assist in providing a specialised decontamination of medical devices service contributing to the clinical care of the patient.
To carry out the receipt, disassembly, cleaning and reassembly, packing and sterilization of reusable medical devices. Record all tasks on the Health Edge computerised traceability systems.
Work in accordance with the department's work instructions and Quality Management systems.
To provide supervision to Apprentice Decontamination Technicians within the team.
Plan own workload with limited supervision.
The role involves exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
