Job summary
The Procurement department at Airedale General Hospital is part of AGH Solutions LTD, a wholly owned subsidiary of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
This new temporary role has been created to cover a two year secondment and will be to support the Head of Procurement in delivering a Procurement service to both Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.
The Procurement team pride themselves on providing excellent customer service to their customers and aspire to be the best they can be, assisting areas in providing the care to patients and users within the hospital and community.

Main duties of the job
To be operationally accountable for delivering a high-quality professional Procurement service to organisations on behalf of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford District Care Foundation Trust. Promoting across the Trust Board leads all strategic procurement issues with a view to maximising the savings potential across the patch with more efficient and effective purchasing arrangements with a contribution to both Trusts' non-pay expenditure.
To continue the good, shared Procurement service between the health organisations based upon the further development of a competent and committed team of professional and operational colleagues
To deputise and support the Head/Deputy Head of Procurement on strategic direction and leadership across Procurement.
