Main duties of the job
- In line with National Standards of Cleanliness provide a safe, hygienicenvironment for patients and staff
- To communicate effectively with patients, work colleagues and visitorsthroughout the process of delivery of the service and at all times respecting dignity and confidentiality.
- To carry out all designated cleaning duties in safe manner using only equipment and materials provided by the department.Compliance with policies and procedures
- Completion of mandatory training and relevant departmental training.
- Uses own initiative when carrying out duties on wards and departments to ensure service is provided and standards are met.

- Work completed in line with schedules and timescales
- Target % as per NHS Framework for audit achieved
- Reports any adverse event to line manager and completes on line form
- Patient satisfaction surveys show no incidents \concerns regarding service
