Job summary
The Procurement department at Airedale General Hospital is part of AGH Solutions LTD, a wholly owned subsidiary of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
This exciting new role has been created to support the Trust in delivering its ambitious waste reduction/profit challenge targets and will focus on the delivery of cash releasing savings, supplier and user engagement, contract management, including the monitoring of key performance indicators on high value contracts.
The Procurement team pride themselves on providing excellent customer service to their customers and aspire to be the best they can be, assisting areas in providing the care to patients and users within the hospital and community.

Main duties of the job
The Strategic Relationship Manager is accountable for the oversight and strategic management of the Trust's extensive Supplier portfolio (c £60M per annum) ensuring that Trusts requirements are met, and Suppliers provide best in class levels of sustainable value.
The post holder will work closely with Procurement, Finance, Clinicians and Corporate Senior Leadership Teams and other business partners in developing and implementing strategies to deliver towards strategic goals. They will also be expected to demonstrate effective leadership, strong Supplier management skills, excellent commercial awareness, and exceptional financial acumen.
Additionally, they will be highly motivated, qualities focused and can influence at the highest level, working in close partnership with senior clinical and operational colleagues.
In relation to the Trust Supplier contract portfolio, they will provide exemplar technical and professional support to senior management across the organisation and with a wide range of external organisations including other local, regional, and national NHS organisations, legal advisers and the supplier organisations.
