Job summary
As a Security Team Leader, you will play a vital leadership role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of staff, patients and visitors across Harrogate District Hospital. This is a dynamic and varied position where you will oversee daily security operations, support your team during complex or challenging incidents and contribute directly to creating a safe, welcoming and supportive hospital environment. This is a Monday to Friday role, working 9am to 5pm, providing stability and consistency while supporting the daily running of key hospital services.
You will confidently lead Security Officers, manage incident responses, liaise with clinical teams and external partners and provide clear guidance to staff during security related situations. The role also involves collecting, analysing and presenting security data, producing high quality reports and using Microsoft Office applications to support decision making and service improvement. Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate information clearly to managers, departments and wider teams are essential.

Main duties of the job
As a Security Team Leader, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety and security of the hospital while supporting essential services. Your duties will include monitoring site security, security reports, assisting with patient movement and portering tasks when available, supporting car parking operations and completing a variety of reception/administrative tasks supporting the General Office.
