Job summary
Programme Manager for capital projects will provide leadership for the strategic development of RFLPS's customer sites (both internal and external customers) taking authority and responsibility for the management, co-ordination and delivery of the Trust Capital Programme ensuring business development and occupier criteria are met in line with agreed time, cost and quality objectives whilst minimising impact of projects on trust income, patient experience and operational activity.
The role will provide expert advice, and support to the Deputy Director of Capital Projects, Director of Project Delivery, customers' senior Executives, Divisional Directors, and clinicians in the strategic development and delivery of the Capital plan in line with agreed project and Trust governing objectives so as to achieve long term best value for the benefit of patients, staff and clinical service.
This post will require the postholder to develop & implement policy relating to the planning & physical environment in which clinical services are provided & comment on other clinical & nonclinical policies. Furthermore, the post holder will be responsible for the smooth, efficient and timely operation of the wider capital programme team
Main duties of the job

Lead the formation and delivery of RFLPS customers' long term capital plan working with clinical divisions and corporate functions to ensure adequate funding is provided to meet the long-term Trust objectives.

Provide leadership and direction to the Capital team for all aspects of estates development.

Be part of the drive to deliver additional external commissions with associated revenues to RFLPS, delivering hight quality solutions to all clients

Engage with Executive, Divisional and general managers to ensure the Capital plan accurately reflects the needs and requirements of the Trust operational services.

Work closely with the Director of Financial control to ensure the Capital Plan meets the requirements of Monitor reporting.

Provide Capital planning expertise to the Executive team to support service and business change.
