Main duties of the job
The kitchen porter will follow cleaning schedules, which includes the cleaning of large catering equipment; provide an efficient pot wash service and carry out general kitchen porter duties, like running dish machines and cleaning up spills. The post holder will be required to operate mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment.
Periodically undertakes tasks in basic food preparation, storage, covering of food and loading and packing food to be transported to the ward kitchens/areas as directed by the kitchen manager/chefs.
