Job summary
Due to the current post holder retiring in May 2025 we now have a vacancy within our Stores Department at HRI. As part of a locally based Receipt & Distribution/Materials Management Team based at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary the post holder will:
- Ensure that goods obtained are received & distributed in the most efficient manner.
- Manage the internal distribution of printer consumables.
- Prepare and receipt electronically delivered goods/services.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Materials Management Team.
Main duties of the job
- Receive goods from suppliers and NHS Supply Chain daily ensuring that these are promptly offloaded, receipted and distributed to thecustomer.o Receipt and query using the Trust's computerised purchase order system (iProc)o Resolve basic customer queries/complaints.o File and upkeep of appropriate records on behalf of the customers in accordance with audit procedures.o Ensure that repairs and parcels for return or collection are dealt with in the appropriate manner and liaise with customers/suppliers as required.o To undertake all duties to the required standards of cleanliness and security, observing fire precaution, Health and Safety at Work andreporting of any defects to the immediate line manager.o Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of products.o Work closely with other members in the Materials Management Team at HRI and the wider Procurement and Supplies Department.o Contribute to the development and performance of the Receipt & Distribution Team and to the Trust's business plan by personallyparticipating in training and development activities, and by suggesting areas of change within the department.o Develop and maintain strong relationships with all service users.o When required, provide input and assistance in introducing new
